Each project I engage is is site-specific, collaborative, and draws from multiple skill sets: sign painting, studio work, large-scale mural work, and custom wall canvas.

The throughline in everything I do is drawing. I’ve studied the figure since high school, and earned a BFA in Communication Art and Design at Virginia Commonwealth University with a focus in illustration. I began my career painting large-scale murals at an established studio in San Francisco, including large scale murals for Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas in 2001. That foundational experience shaped my approach to scale, process, and storytelling, and set me on the path toward an independent practice.

In 2012, I co-founded Bristle Bros. Mural Co., a collaborative of multi-disciplinary artists designing and painting large-scale public works. Together we developed and implemented over 50 murals for public institutions, restaurants, homes and museums. These collaborations reflect the spirit of shared practice and artistic rhythm that continues to shape how I work.
Since then, I’ve been collaborating with interior designers, architects, and cultural institutions to create murals that respond to the architecture and feel of a space to reveal local and aspirational narratives: a true sense of place. These works span commercial, residential, and hospitality.

Currently, I specialize in large-scale canvas murals for residential and commercial settings, and studio painting commissions. For these larger-scale interior projects, I begin in the studio, fabricating each piece by hand, and then install the finished work on site… a process best understood like hand-painted wallpaper, but with far more intention and dimension. For the client, it’s an experience of irreplicable art and design. For designers and contractors, it’s a production win as I am the last one to come in for final finishing and installation.

I’ve been lucky to paint all over the San Francisco Bay Area over the last 25 years, as well as internationally, and along the east coast, often with my two children and brilliant artist wife.
