While I offer traditional paint-on-wall murals, for the larger scale interior project, I begin in the studio, fabricating each piece by hand, and then install the finished work on site… a process best understood like hand-painted wallpaper, but with far more intention and dimension.

 

For the client, it’s an experience of irreplicable art and design. For designers and contractors, it’s a production win as  I am the last one to come in for final finishing and installation.

Blank walls need color. By painting them, what was once invisible becomes an invitation for community, often transforming into landmarks. Over the last 20 years, I’ve developed techniques to bring color and form to nearly every type of surface, maintaining detail and quality of line.

 

The inspiration for my designs are rooted in billboard painting, and the Mission murals of San Francisco, and vintage sign painting…. But the mission is clear: walls need color! Handpainted color!
