"Expressway", commisioned by the City of San Ramon for the Dougherty Station Community Arts Center, is inspired by the rapid growth of San Ramon with the introducion of the 680 freeway.  Orchards and farmland were replaced by business parks and commuters.  The art center is a gathering place for the community to become inspired, create, and reflect on the colorful history of San Ramon.
