Collaborating with community to paint is a complex and super-rewarding process. And that is what I set out to do with the Mt. Pleasant library, which is part of the San Jose Public Library system. On the east side of San Jose, its a welcoming space for studying and reading, and also community events for children and adults. 

Reading is foundation to wisdom and leadership, and with the concept of "Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader", I planned a mural that the future leaders themselves could also participate in painting. The geometric figures are intended to inspire and also, honestly, just be fun, and help to make the library a vibrant place of gathering.
