Nido's Backyard is a Mexican restaurant and venue that is an oasis in an Oakland parking lot. Designed for crowds to mix and mingle, the property is full of meandering spaces dotted with shipping containers, shade structures, and beautifully planted foliage.

They came to us for a few applications and to really revive the color and texture of the space. We executed a mural of their design and then did another on corrugated metal, utilizing both sides so that day and evening offer different experiences of the artwork—it comes out at night when another bar opens.

Then we completed a restoration of one floor mural, followed by the in-house design and execution of another one. Along with an exterior sign, we really wrapped this place in some serious color.
